2) Now the AGM has already been done in May without the next year juniors. (pre-med & 1st year)
This means that we are
a)- Denying the juniors the opportunity to exercise their right to vote - true or false?
b)- But every member deserves the right to vote - true or false?
c) - Then giving them the right to vote is the proper thing to do - T/F?
d)- We are acting behalf on them BY choosing the president & committee for them - T/F?

If you think the 2 rules are wrong, please don't give any excuses to explain those WRONG rules! We don’t need any explanations on wrong things! It is still wrong!
We have to correct these wrongs in the 1st place!

Here, I wish more members will voice up your opinion and ask the committee to return the voting right to us, to approve or cancel the 2 rules above and return the voting rights to the juniors!!

I know that we as Chinese must unite & get things done properly, I had voiced up this to Chai president before AGM, but he told me that this rule is fixed by committee & consultants, can't be changed, & must be followed. Then I feel that this is the only final way to fix these wrongs before the 6th year students go back to Malaysia.

I sincerely ask the commitee to reconsider the rules!
I really hope that MCSC members will be bold enough to make a move to change these unacceptable rules.

I hope that everyone can give their opinion that can help MCSC get the right rules for sake of MCSC’s future!!

MCSC must return to the right track to function properly!

MCSC must function through democratic procedures!

Do not become a joke for others that we have achieved great world records!

I suggest that during 16 May, during the time after congratulating 6th year seniors and just before the power transition, all members (premed to 6th year) vote to cancel or approve these 2 rules. Please return the right for us to vote for these rules!!

As I know, our consultants are the 6th year students, please reconsider these rules that you have made, that even the president says that he also cannot change these rules.

I do not deny the contributions of the committee & consultants to MCSC, I actually appreciate your contributions, I just appeal that we reconsider these rules.

Please hold the AGM after the new juniors arrive (after October) and giving back the voting rights to everyone, even the juniors.

Maybe some people will wonder why I did not tell the president first or attend AGM to voice up.

Firstly, I had discussed with president, but nothing has changed!
Secondly, I have suggested holding AGM after new juniors arrive, but the reply given to me was that if I have so many comments, they suggest that I might as well go compete for the post of president. How then can I compete for president when I do not agree that the AGM should be held in May in the first place?

Please do not worry, it has never crossed my mind to take over your post, I just sincerely wish that MCSC is conducted in a proper manner.

As a member, I have a right to voice up and give my opinions.
I wish that people that the people in charge respect us as members.

Please do not abuse your power by talking louder or shouting at us, you can disagree on other’s opinion, but you should never express it in such a bad way! And please do not give personal attacks and statements that ruin other’s reputation! Please remember this, a good leader must be able to listen to other’s opinions.

I have 2 questions that I want to discuss here.

I am just giving my opinion and I do not want to offend anyone.

I think that this MCSC official website is a right place for us to discuss all the problems related to MCSC. I had a closed discussion with President Chai before AGM on Saturday night.

Please reconsider,
1) Attendance to the Annual General Meeting is a must to be a valid member of MCSC. (A rule made by committee & consultants as told by Chai president). Does this statement make sense? Do you think this rule is correct?

The statement "attendance is compulsory for all members" is correct! This is to encourage more members attend, but members always have right to decide whether to attend AGM or not!

If they don't attend, they are not longer members (disqualified)!
What do you think about this?
Is it democratic? I feel it is not.

The aim to achieve more attendance by using the wrong way, setting this rule (attendance of Annual General Meeting is a criteria to be a valid member of MCSC) for me I consider it as a wrong & weird rule!
What are your opinions on this?

It means that no matter how many people attend, the attendance of AGM is guaranteed to be 100%, as only those who attend will then be considered as valid members.

What I mean is, if only 10 out of 100 people attend the AGM, the attendance rate will be considered as 100% because the other 90 people are automatically disqualified as members according to that rule.
Can this be considered as a democratic procedure?

And MCSC will never have to worry about how many members are going to attend, because those who do not attend are not members, therefore all members (100%) already attend.

Even if the majority did not attend AGM, the AGM will still be valid because of full 100% attendance.

Thus the concept of boycott in democracy will never happen in VSMU MCSC for sure.

Therefore I feel VSMU MCSC has achieved 2 world records:
1st- 100% attendance at every AGM, regardless how many people/ members attended. We don't need to predict the attendance rate for future AGMs as we already know for sure 100% attendance full for every single AGM!
2nd- There will never be a boycott of AGM by members, because those who boycott are not valid members.

Then I just wonder about next year (pre-med & 1st year) juniors, can they become valid members as they did not attend AGM. Are they all automatically considered as MCSC members?

As president Chai said, every rule must be followed by everyone, so please don't give an excuse that the juniors are excluded from this rule. Please implement fair rules that can be followed by all members.
